• What hypnosis is?

Hypnosis is a powerful therapeutic tool that harnesses the mind's natural ability to focus and enter into a deep state of relaxation.
Once in a focused state, the subconscious is then accessed to reframe negative thoughts, overcome challenges, and foster positive change. Whether you are looking to manage stress, shift a habit, or enhance performance, Hypnosis offers a personalized and targeted approach that empowers you to achieve your goals.

  • What hypnosis isn't?

Hypnotic states have been used for healing since humankind has existed, however due to it’s misuse for entertainment purposes it has often been viewed with scepticism and distrust. Recent advancements in neuroscience have begun to reveal what happens in the brain during Hypnosis, and mounting evidence supports its effectiveness as a valuable tool for both patients and healthcare professionals in managing many conditions like anxiety and pain.

  • How does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis works by creating a unique state of focused attention and deep relaxation, allowing you to connect with your subconscious mind. In this state, your mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions and changes, making it easier to address the underlying issues affecting your well-being.

  • What happens when I go into trance?

When we are in “trance” we are in an altered state of awareness, or an altered state of consciousness. In this state, the critical and analytical part of the mind temporarily steps back, allowing us to be more open to positive suggestions, new perspectives and inner exploration.

  • Will hypnosis work for me?

While individual results may vary, many clients find that Hypnosis helps them address a wide range of issues such as stress, anxiety, bad habits, and more. What really increases success in an individual’s outcome is the ability to commit to the process. In short, we can only create change when we believe change is truly possible.

  • How many sessions do I need?

The number of Hypnosis sessions needed can vary widely depending on an individual’s goals and circumstances. Many clients find that between 3 to 6 sessions are effective for specific issues, such as anxiety or habit change. For more complex issues, such as trauma or long-term addiction, more sessions may be necessary - sometimes 8 to 12 or more.

  • How is hypnosis different to other types of therapy?

By working directly with the subconscious mind, Hypnosis bypasses conscious analysis to address underlying patterns in a more direct and solution-oriented approach. Additionally, hypnosis is typically quicker in addressing specific issues, while other therapies may involve longer-term exploration of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

  • Can hypnosis replace standard of care treatment?

No. Hypnosis is not a substitute for medical treatments or medications. As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, my role is not to diagnose, prescribe, treat, cure, or heal any physical, mental, or emotional illness. The services I provide are not a form of health care, psychotherapy, or counseling. My primary focus is the physical and mental well-being of each client. As a result, I strongly recommend that individuals seek medical and/ or professional help when appropriate.
